Hüseyin Sermet — Biography
Hüseyin Sermet (born 30 August 1955 in Istanbul) is a Turkish pianist and composer. He studied at the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory and at the Paris Conservatoire, and is a laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition.
He received honorary doctorates from Boğaziçi University (1988) and Marmara University (1998), and was named a State Artist of Turkey in 1991. He is the founder and co-president of ADAP, the Association of Artists for Peace, based in Paris.
