Hüseyin Türkmen — Biography

Hüseyin Türkmen, born in the Akçaabat district of Trabzon, is a Turkish footballer who plays in central defence. Following strong performances in the youth ranks he signed a five-year professional contract with Trabzonspor on 30 November 2017, making his first official appearance as a late substitute in a 3-1 away win over Bursaspor in matchday 33 of the Süper Lig on 12 May 2018.

With Trabzonspor he won the Turkish Cup (2019-20), two Super Cups (2020 and 2022) and the Süper Lig title (2021-22), before his contract with the club was mutually terminated on 29 May 2025, with Trabzonspor publishing a farewell message on its official website. He signed for Antalyaspor in July 2025, and his registration with the club was finalised the following month.

He drew wide media coverage in December 2025 for his reaction to being substituted early in a match against Galatasaray, after which he headed straight for the locker room. In May 2026 Turkish outlets reported that Bodrum FK had shown interest in signing him.
