İbrahim Demir — Biography

İbrahim Demir is a Turkish footballer, born 2 September 1995 in Trabzon, who plays as a goalkeeper. He began his football education in 2006 at his hometown club Trabzonspor and stayed within the organisation until 2010, playing for the U-15 side in the 2009-10 season before being loaned, with his registration rights, to the club's partner side 1461 Trabzon's reserve team, and later appearing for the U-16 and U-17 squads. He returned to Trabzonspor's reserve team for the 2012-13 season, where his performances drew attention from the coaching staff.

After Tolga Zengin moved to Beşiktaş, Demir was promoted to the first team for the 2013-14 season on the coaching staff's request, becoming the club's fourth-choice goalkeeper. Injuries elsewhere in the squad saw him named among the 18-man matchday squad for a UEFA Europa League fixture on 22 August 2013, his first taste of both senior and European football. In 2013 he was also called up to Turkey's under-19 national team, earning his first cap against the Netherlands. He later moved through lower-division clubs before signing a three-year contract with Serik Belediyespor on 15 September 2020.
