İdo Tatlıses — Biography

Born İbrahim on February 15, 1992, in İstanbul to singer İbrahim Tatlıses and Derya Tuna, İdo Tatlıses took his stage name from a shortening of his parents' names. Coming from a family with roots in Şanlıurfa, he began his schooling at College du Leman in Switzerland, then completed a degree in the Department of Stage and Performing Arts at Beykent University; afterward he attended a certificate program in arranging and production at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

He started out at his father's channel, Tatlıses TV, and by 2013 was also a DJ and worked at the family's Tatlıses Kebap business. His music career began in 2014 with the single Sonsuz Teşekkürler, one of that year's biggest hits, followed by Satır Satır the same year and, in 2015, by videos for Kaç Kere and Aşk Bunun Adı. Further singles followed — Marifet, İşimi Bilirim, Sen and Piç among them — plus the 2021 album Çünkü. In 2016 he became the advertising face of McDonald's and appeared in the Show TV series Aşk Kapıda; he still owns Tatlıses TV.

As the son of singer İbrahim Tatlıses, İdo remains a fixture of celebrity news, together with his wife Yasemin Şefkatli and their twin children.
