İsmail Ertekin — Biography

İsmail Ertekin (born 1 January 1959 in Bursa) is a Turkish former footballer and football manager.

After his playing career Ertekin moved into coaching and went on to manage numerous Turkish clubs. He was in charge of Sakaryaspor until 2019. In 2022 he joined Bursaspor as sporting director before being appointed head coach later the same year, remaining in the post into 2023.

In 2025 he took over as manager of Balıkesirspor.
