İsmail Özeren — Biography

Born on 1 January 1985 in the Keskin district of Kırıkkale, İsmail Özeren is a retired Turkish footballer known for typically wearing squad number 71, the license-plate code of his home province, at the clubs he played for. He started out in the Keçiören Belediyespor academy, moved to Ankara Demirspor's youth setup in 2000, signed a professional contract and joined the first team in 2003, making his official debut in a 2. Lig match against Kardemir Karabükspor on 30 November 2003. He went on to play for Hatayspor and Çanakkale Dardanelspor.

His rising form at Çanakkale Dardanelspor earned him a move to Trabzonspor in 2008, but he struggled to break into the squad there and was loaned out for a season each to 1461 Trabzon and back to Çanakkale Dardanelspor. At the start of the 2010-11 season he joined 2. Lig side Bugsaşspor, and after half a season signed for Adanaspor on a two-and-a-half-year deal during the mid-season transfer window. In the summer transfer window before the 2011-12 season he mutually terminated his contract with Adanaspor and moved to Akhisar Belediyespor.
