Wikidata records both Dutch and Turkish citizenship for him; the German Wikipedia calls him a Dutch-Turkish player, while the Turkish Wikipedia describes him as a footballer of Turkish descent.
Most sources list him as a winger: the Turkish Wikipedia specifies the right flank and the English Wikipedia simply a winger, while the Arabic Wikipedia places him in midfield.
