İzel — Biography
İzel Çeliköz (born 29 April 1969 in Yalova), known simply as İzel, is a Turkish pop singer. She studied at Istanbul Technical University and took part in music festivals in Turkey and abroad, winning several awards.
She began her career as a member of the pop trio İzel-Çelik-Ercan, which represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest 1991 in Rome. After the group broke up in 1993, she turned to solo albums and became one of the most successful Turkish singers of the 1990s and 2000s.
İzel-Çelik-Ercan reunited more than three decades later, but the trio split up again in 2025.
