John Gidding — Biography

John Gidding is a Turkish-American architect, designer and television personality born on January 7, 1977 in Istanbul. After studying at Yale University and the Harvard Graduate School of Design, he moved into modeling in the early 2000s, walking runway shows for labels such as Armani, Gucci and Hugo Boss while represented by the New York agency Wilhelmina Models.

Before shifting his career toward architecture and design, Gidding served as the face of menswear brand Jhane Barnes in 2004 and 2005 and appeared on the covers of numerous romance novels. Over the years he was repeatedly recognized by lifestyle publications, being named among Rumpus Magazine's most attractive Yale alumni in 1999, The Improper Bostonian's most eligible bachelors in 2002, and Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles' rising design talent in 2008.
