Kenan Şahin — Biography

Kenan Şahin was born on 27 October 1984 in Cologne to a family of Turkish origin living in the Rhineland; he holds Turkish citizenship alongside his German passport and played as a striker. He began his football career in Germany, turning out for clubs including Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Union Berlin, Energie Cottbus, Fortuna Düsseldorf and TuS Koblenz.

He later spent part of his career in Turkey, playing for Kayseri Erciyesspor, Boluspor, Denizlispor, Mersin İdmanyurdu and Osmanlıspor before transferring to Elazığspor in August 2015. A Turkey under-21 international, he returned to Germany late in his career, playing as a striker for the amateur club RSV Urbach.
