Koray Avcı — Biography

Mustafa Koray Avcı (born 19 May 1979 in İzmit) is a Turkish former footballer who played as a midfielder. Some sources give his year of birth as 1978. Listed at about 1.82 m, he spent his playing career almost entirely in Turkey.

At club level he turned out for Çaykur Rizespor, Şanlıurfaspor, Gençlerbirliği, Manisaspor, Beşiktaş, Türk Telekomspor and Kasımpaşa, appearing both in the Süper Lig and in the lower divisions. Internationally he was capped by Turkey at under-21 level and also represented the senior national team.

He should not be confused with the Turkish singer of the same name, who became known in the 2010s; the two are different people.
