Mecnur Çolak — Biography
Mecnur Çolak (born 7 August 1967 in Razgrad, Bulgaria – died 11 December 2021) was a Turkish former footballer who played as a forward. Over his career he turned out for Ludogorets Razgrad, Denizlispor, Adana Demirspor, Sarıyer and Fenerbahçe. Although his given name was Mecnur, Turkish media commonly referred to him as "Mecnun Çolak," and that version of his name stuck in public memory.
After retiring from football, Çolak became active as a stock market investor, a pursuit that repeatedly put him in the headlines for controversial dealings; he was taken into custody in 2011 in connection with his trading activity. In the years that followed, his market commentary and claims continued to draw attention from the financial press.
