Mehmet Çoğum — Biography

Mehmet Çoğum (born 5 February 1983 in İskenderun) is a Turkish former footballer and football coach. A right back, he began his professional career with the Çanakkale club Dardanelspor.

He went on to play for Gaziantepspor, Konyaspor, Denizlispor and Karabükspor before joining MKE Ankaragücü in the winter of 2011, spending most of his career with clubs in the Süper Lig and the second tier. He also served as a captain at the clubs he played for.

After retiring he completed the Turkish Football Federation's coaching courses and moved into management. At the end of 2017 he took charge of Dardanelspor, the club where he had started out, and sources list him most recently as that team's head coach.
