Mehmet Eren Boyraz — Biography

Mehmet Eren Boyraz is a Turkish former footballer, born on 11 October 1981 in the Karadeniz Ereğli district of Zonguldak, who played as an attacking midfielder and stands 1.83 m tall. He began his career at Erdemir Ereğlispor, playing there for three seasons before moving to Karadeniz Ereğlispor in 1999-2000, Antalyaspor in 2000-01, and continuing his professional career at Sidespor from 2001.

He joined Eskişehirspor for the 2005-06 season, drawing attention with his attractive style of play and earning the nickname "Rüzgarın Oğlu" (Son of the Wind). At Kayseri Erciyesspor in 2006-07 he won regular playing time in the second half of the season once Bülent Korkmaz took over as manager, and his pace and dribbling helped the team reach the Turkish Cup final. After the club's relegation he moved to Kayserispor for 2007-08, scoring four goals from the left wing and helping the club win the Turkish Cup and qualify for the UEFA Cup; during this period he won his first cap for Turkey's A2 national team in a friendly against Romania.

After his Kayserispor contract was terminated on 24 May 2011 he rejoined Antalyaspor, then had a spell at Adana Demirspor in 2013 amid a long second stint back at Kayserispor. When his Kayserispor contract ended following the club's championship-winning promotion to the Süper Lig in 2014-15, he signed with Karşıyaka on 18 June 2015; in later years he re-signed with the club and spent the final phase of his career there.
