Mehmet Yağmur — Biography

Mehmet Yağmur was born on July 1, 1987 in İzmir and built a career in Turkish professional basketball as a point guard, occasionally featuring as a shooting guard. Standing 1.85 m tall, he began playing professionally in the early 2000s and went on to represent Basketbol Süper Ligi clubs including Darüşşafaka, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş, Türk Telekom and Manisa Basket over the course of his career.

He joined Galatasaray Odeabank in 2017, where he wore jersey number 4, and later served as team captain at Beşiktaş, where he spoke publicly about enjoying the chance to play alongside younger teammates. He signed a new contract with Türk Telekom in 2023, and most recently played for Manisa Basket.
