Melih Özkaya — Biography

Melih Özkaya was born in 1987 in İstanbul. A graduate of the Sport Management Department at Anadolu University, he first made a name for himself as an athlete, coming up through the İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality's youth academy and playing volleyball for Payas Belediyespor and Adana BYZ Algomed Spor.

He gained wide recognition in 2018 as a member of the Volunteers team on the reality competition Survivor, produced by Acun Ilıcalı, and later turned to acting, drawing attention for his role opposite İpek Arkan in the series Emanet.

Since joining the cast of Yalı Çapkını in 2024 as the character Akın, Özkaya has reached a much wider audience, and as of 2026 he remains best known to viewers for this role.
