Merve Daşdemir — Biography
Merve Daşdemir is a Turkish-Dutch musician born on 20 September 1987 in Istanbul. For much of her career she has been known as the vocalist and keyboardist of Altın Gün, a Netherlands-based band that brought Anatolian rock and folk music to international audiences.
During her time with Altın Gün, Daşdemir contributed to work that earned the group a Grammy nomination. Splitting her career between Turkey and the Netherlands, she later began a solo path of her own, releasing her debut solo single, "Platonik," in 2025.
