Metin Aktaş — Biography

Metin Aktaş (born 1 August 1977 in Akçaabat, Trabzon Province) is a Turkish former footballer and coach. A goalkeeper standing 1.86 m, he spent his entire playing career in Turkey.

He appeared for Trabzonspor, Kayserispor, Giresunspor, Şanlıurfaspor, Çaykur Rizespor and Adana Demirspor, ending his professional playing career with the last of these in 2012. Aktaş represented Turkey at under-17, under-21 and senior level, and was part of the national squad at the 2000 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.

After retiring as a player he moved into coaching and remained active within the game.
