Müge Dağıstanlı — Biography

Müge Dağıstanlı is a Turkish journalist, columnist, and television host born in Istanbul on November 5, 1968. She has spent most of her career in celebrity/entertainment journalism, working in print and on screen at the same time for many years.

Dağıstanlı completed her education in the New Media Department at Bahçeşehir University, and after graduating she went straight into journalism. She served as entertainment editor at the newspaper Posta, where she also wrote a column. At Radikal she wrote mainly about film and television, a period in which she stood close to culture and the arts alongside celebrity reporting.

From 2007 onward she focused more heavily on on-screen work. Together with her colleague Gülşen Yüksel, she developed and hosted celebrity/entertainment programs broadcast on various television channels; the pair's long-running partnership made Dağıstanlı one of the familiar names of Turkish television's entertainment-news slot. Among the productions she hosted was Aramızda Kalmasın.

Despite her on-screen work, Dağıstanlı never gave up writing, and she still writes a column under the byline Müge Dağıstanlı Erdoğan for the newspaper Yeniçağ, covering current events alongside celebrity news. She is married to Reha Erdoğan.
