Muhammet Taha Şahin — Biography

Muhammet Taha Şahin (born 22 October 2000) is a Turkish footballer born in Üsküdar, Istanbul, and known in the press and in English-language records simply as Taha Şahin. He is 1.78 m tall, plays at right back and turns out for the Süper Lig club Çaykur Rizespor.

He drew wider notice in November 2025 when the coach Domenico Tedesco spoke about him in glowing terms. From December 2025 onwards the Turkish media reported repeatedly that Galatasaray were tracking him, and in June 2026 he was named both as one of two Süper Lig players Galatasaray were considering and in connection with Fenerbahçe's search for a right back. These were transfer-window reports rather than deals confirmed by any club.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency in July 2026, Şahin said his aim was to keep developing in the new season, and the sports press wrote in the same days that his ambitions were high.
