Murat Hacıoğlu — Biography

Murat Hacıoğlu (born 10 June 1979 in Rize) is a Turkish former international footballer who played as a forward. He spent his early career at Anatolian clubs, turning out for Etimesgut Şekerspor, Diyarbakırspor and Konyaspor.

After several successful seasons he joined the Istanbul side Fenerbahçe, but under coach Christoph Daum he was used mostly as a substitute. He spent the 2005–06 season on loan at Konyaspor before moving to Kocaelispor, and later played for clubs including Sakaryaspor, Denizlispor and Sarıyer.

In the later years of his career he appeared for lower-division teams such as Çorum Belediyespor and Erbaaspor. Hacıoğlu was also capped by the Turkey national team and became known for the many transfers of his long career.
