Muratcan Güler — Biography

Muratcan Güler (born 25 February 1980 in Istanbul) is a former Turkish basketball player who began playing at Istanbul Technical University before moving to Beşiktaş at a young age, appearing as both a point guard and shooting guard. Standing 1.88 m tall, he helped Beşiktaş reach the TBL playoffs twice in his first spell with the club before transferring to Ülkerspor in 2001, where a deep roster limited his playing time. He rediscovered his form during a 2002-03 loan spell at Galatasaray, then went on to play for Ülkerspor again, Pınar Karşıyaka and Türk Telekom, winning the Turkish Cup with Türk Telekom in 2008 and reaching the league final that same season.

Güler later played for Antalya BB before returning to Beşiktaş for a third spell in 2012-13, this time as team captain, contributing to the club's first-ever Presidential Cup title and a run to the EuroLeague Top 16. He was named to the TBL All-Star game and represented Turkey at youth and university level. The son of former basketball player Necati Güler and older brother of national player Sinan Güler, he has run youth basketball camps with his brother under the "Güler Legacy" name since retiring.
