Nalan Ramazanoğlu — Biography

Nalan Ramazanoğlu is a retired Turkish international basketball player who captained Fenerbahçe's women's team for nine years and, after leaving the court, worked in the club's management. Her maiden name is Mete. At 1.87 m tall, she was capped 70 times for Turkey and was part of the squad that won the gold medal at the 2005 Mediterranean Games in Almería, Spain.

She started playing at Fenerbahçe in 1992, getting her place because a sibling of hers was friends with the coach. She moved up from the youth side to the first team and, between 1999 and 2007, won six Turkish league titles, seven Turkish Cups and six Presidential Cups. At one point in her career she also played for Galatasaray, then returned to Fenerbahçe, the club that had raised her. In the 2005-06 season she was her team's best free-throw shooter at 88.9 percent and, from three-point range, finished second on the team at 39.2 percent, behind only Nicole Powell, who shot 42.3 percent.

After her playing days she worked as the club's basketball youth-development coordinator and held that post in 2021. On 30 December 2023 she was appointed general manager of the women's basketball team, which competes as Fenerbahçe Alagöz Holding. In April 2024 she described that season as one beyond her dreams. The role ended in March 2025.
