Nevin Nevlin — Biography
Kristen Michelle Newlin, known in Turkey as Nevin Nevlin, is a Turkish-American former basketball player born on 8 May 1985 in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Standing 1.96 meters tall, the Stanford University-educated center began her professional career in 2007 after being selected by the Houston Comets in the WNBA draft.
Newlin spent much of her career with Fenerbahçe Istanbul, representing the club in EuroLeague Women competition. She obtained Turkish citizenship in 2008 and adopted the name Nevin, making her national-team debut against Serbia with 7 points in 23 minutes. On 10 January 2009 she featured in the Turkish Women's Basketball League All-Star game.
