Nükhet Ruacan — Biography
Nükhet Ruacan (14 December 1951 – 6 May 2007) was a Turkish jazz singer and an educator in musicology.
She was regarded as one of the leading female voices of Turkish jazz and is remembered, alongside singers such as Ayten Alpman and Sevinç Tevs, among the country's jazz divas. In 1984 she took part in the Turkish song contest with the song "Hayallerin Işığında".
Alongside her singing career she also taught musicology. She died in Istanbul, her native city, on 6 May 2007.
