Nurettin Kayaoğlu — Biography

Nurettin Kayaoğlu was born on January 8, 1992, in Duisburg, Germany. Although he grew up in Germany, he chose to represent Turkey internationally and became known as a defender who often featured on the left side.

He started out in the Schalke 04 academy, developing there between 2009 and 2011, and first appeared for the club's reserve side in a match against Bayer Leverkusen II on August 5, 2011. That December he reached a pre-agreement with Kayserispor, then made his Süper Lig debut on August 19, 2012. During the 2013-14 season he was loaned to Adana Demirspor, where he played 13 matches, before moving to Boluspor for 2014-15. He later returned to Germany, playing for MSV Duisburg in the 2015-16 season, joining TuS Haltern on January 13, 2020, and afterward turning out for Oberliga Niederrhein side Mülheimer FC 97.

Kayaoğlu represented Turkey at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level, taking part in the 2009 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup with the national side.
