Ogün Altıparmak — Biography
Ogün Altıparmak was a Turkish former international footballer, born on 10 November 1938 in Adapazarı and passing away on 2 February 2025 in Istanbul. A striker who spent the bulk of his career at Fenerbahçe, he became the club's first-ever Süper Lig top scorer after his goal tally in the 1970-71 season.
Altıparmak also represented Turkey's national team, earning 32 caps and scoring six goals. After retiring from playing, he moved into coaching, worked as a sports agent, and took on media commentary roles, occasionally engaging in politics as well.
Known for his unwavering loyalty to Fenerbahçe and affectionately called "Fenerbahçeli Ogün," his death was mourned widely across Turkish football, including by Fenerbahçe and the Turkish Football Federation, with a formal funeral ceremony held in his honor.
