Perran Kutman — Biography
Perran Kutman (born Perran Kanat on 30 November 1949 in Istanbul) is a Turkish stage, film and television actress. At her family's request she studied theatre at the Istanbul Municipal Conservatory and has been active on stage and screen since 1967.
She is best known for her comedic roles. She reached wide audiences through Yeşilçam films such as Köyden İndim Şehire (1974), Hababam Sınıfı Dokuz Doğuruyor (1978) and Gırgıriye (1981) with its sequels, as well as the television series Perihan Abla (1986) and Hayat Bilgisi (2003). Her career was honoured with the Golden Orange Life Achievement Award.
In 2026 she returned to the theatre stage after 46 years, appearing in the stage musical adaptation of Gırgıriye with Müjdat Gezen.
