Pınar Ayhan — Biography
Pınar Karakoç Ayhan, born on 28 March 1972 in Diyarbakır, is a Turkish singer who studied at Hacettepe University.
She competed in Turkey's Eurovision Song Contest national final three times, finishing runner-up in 1996 with 'Var mısın söyle,' performed with Tüzmen, and again in 1997 with 'Sen nerede ben orada.' In 2000 she won the national final with 'Yorgunum Anla,' performed with Grup S.O.S. and co-written by Ayhan herself, earning Turkey the right to compete at the 45th Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm, where the entry finished tenth with 59 points on 13 May 2000.
Beyond music, Ayhan hosted the program Günlük Rehber on TRT Okul, and in 2022 she received the Association of Atatürkist Thought's Atatürkist of the Year award in the culture and arts category.
