Raşit Bağzıbağlı — Biography
Raşit Bağzıbağlı was born in 1985 in London, but is originally from Cyprus.
He was educated in Fashion Design.
He is the third-generation representative of the Bağzıbağlı Fabric stores, founded in 1957.
Having set his mind on becoming a designer at an early age, Bağzıbağlı designed clothes with his creative ideas during his school years.
He began his career as a couture designer in 2007.
In 2010 he won many awards in Turkey and Cyprus.
At the Face of Fashion competition held in New York, he won the Best Young Designer of the Year award.
He designed the uniforms, logo and emblems of the TRNC Police.
In 2014 he was named Fashion Designer of the Year at the Fashion TV Awards.
He works with famous models such as Tülin Şahin, Bergüzar Korel and Tuba Büyüküstün.
In 2014 he presented his own brand, the Rashid collection, to the appreciation of fashion enthusiasts.
He serves as a jury member alongside Tuvana Büyükçınar and Şebnem Dönmez on the competition programme titled Yeni Bir Ben, which began airing on Kanal D.
