Rıdvan Şimşek — Biography
Rıdvan Şimşek is a Turkish footballer born on 17 January 1991 in the Konak district of İzmir, who played as a right back. He began his career with İzmir clubs before transferring to Beşiktaş from Karşıyaka SK in 2009 on a three-year deal, later describing an injury suffered in the black-and-white jersey as one of the turning points of his career.
He subsequently went on loan to Sivasspor and later played for Altay SK and İzmirspor. After retiring from playing, reports in 2022 indicated he had moved into business by purchasing a football club.
