Robert Beauvais — Biography

Robert Beauvais was born on 6 March 1911 in the 13th arrondissement of Paris and died on 23 February 1982 in Boulogne-Billancourt. A French writer, journalist, radio producer, screenwriter and actor, he was honored with the Saintour Prize during his career. In cinema he is best remembered for appearing in the cast of François Truffaut's The 400 Blows and for his work on Charles and Lucie, and several of the works he wrote were later brought to the screen by director Jean Yanne. In his personal life he was married on two occasions, and his first marriage produced a daughter who went on to become known as a musician. He was close friends with prominent cultural figures of his era, including novelist Françoise Sagan, and was buried in a village in northern France.
