Ruhi Çenet — Biography
Muhammed Ruhi Çenet was born on 20 October 1990 in Aydın. Trained as a software engineer, he completed part of his education in India.
On the YouTube channel he launched in November 2012, he reached a wide audience with videos in which he travels to and documents hard-to-reach, remote places; according to Social Blade, his channel became the ninth most-subscribed in Turkey. Known as a traveller and independent documentary maker, Çenet also appeared as an actor in the films Enes Batur Hayal mi Gerçek mi? (2018) and Enes Batur Gerçek Kahraman (2019).
In May 2026 he was quarantined after staying on a ship where hantavirus was detected, and his tests came back clean. In July 2026 he made headlines with a documentary in which he filmed and reported on the reconstruction work in the earthquake zone.
