Şahin Irmak — Biography

Şahin Irmak was born on 29 September 1981 in İzmir; his family originally comes from the Çıldır district of Ardahan, and he did not continue his education after high school. He first became known for playing the character Şiro in the 2007 series Kara Yılan and for his roles on Kanal D's sketch show Çok Güzel Hareketler Bunlar, whose writing team he joined from 2010; he also played Sülo in the series Aşağı Yukarı Yemişlililer and took a lead role in the series Sultan.

His first leading film role, in the 2011 film Entelköy Efeköy'e Karşı, earned him the Best Actor in a Comedy award at the 2012 Sadri Alışık Awards. He played the character Şahin in the 2006 film Beynelmilel, Latif in the 2015 film Git Başımdan, and Talip in the 2018 series Jet Sosyete.

In October 2015 an Istanbul heavy penal court sentenced him to ten months in prison for drug use while acquitting him of forming a criminal organisation; because the sentence was under a year it was suspended. He married Asena Tuğal in 2018, having become engaged to her in March 2015.
