Şahin Kendirci — Biography

Şahin Kendirci is a Turkish actor born in Adana on April 19, 2001. The child of a family originally from Şanlıurfa, Kendirci spent his childhood and teenage years in Adana, first stepping into the spotlight with his voice and later with acting.

Kendirci began working at a very young age to help support his family, and for a period he was forced to put his schooling on hold as a result. He was a high school student in the years when he first became widely known.

Kendirci rose to prominence through the television talent competitions he took part in during 2014. He first appeared on Yetenek Sizsiniz, where his voice won wide acclaim, then moved on to the competition O Ses Çocuklar, from which he emerged the winner.

His acting career began with the 2018 film Müslüm. Directed by Can Ülkay, the film cast Kendirci as the childhood incarnation of singer Müslüm Gürses; the role came his way after the director, searching in Adana for someone to play the character, asked around and heard everyone name Kendirci immediately. With a large cast including Timuçin Esen, Zerrin Tekindor, Erkan Can, Güven Kıraç, Ayça Bingöl, Erkan Kolçak Köstendil, Erkan Avcı, and Aleyna Özgeçen, the production went down as Kendirci's first major work in cinema.

Following the wide attention his performance in the film brought him, the young actor joined the cast of the series A.B.İ. in a transfer that received extensive press coverage, playing the young version of the character Behram in the show.
