Sema Aydemir Apak — Biography

Sema Aydemir Apak was born on August 17, 1985 in Bursa. Beginning her sporting career in athletics, she competed in the 400 metres hurdles for Enkaspor under the coaching of Ekrem Ay.

She achieved one of the most significant successes of her career in 2012, earning the right to represent Turkey in the 4x400 metres relay at the London Olympics. That same year, at a competition held in Ankara, she set her personal best in the 400 metres hurdles with a time of 56.62 seconds.

She is married to Eşref Apak, one of Turkey's leading hammer throwers. After her athletics career, Sema Aydemir Apak stepped into television, appearing as a contestant on Survivor 2017, produced and hosted by Acun Ilıcalı and broadcast on Tv8; the following year she joined the Survivor All Star 2018 cast and competed once again.
