Sercan Görgülü — Biography

Sercan Görgülü was born on 5 December 1960 in the Hızırşah area of Muğla, Turkey. Playing as a forward, he emerged as one of the Süper Lig's most prolific scorers of the 1980s, becoming especially well known for his performances against Fenerbahçe.

He spent the bulk of his career at Sarıyer, where his 223 top-flight appearances and 61 goals both stand as club records; for much of that spell he played alongside his close friend and longtime teammate Rıdvan Dilmen. He also turned out for Fenerbahçe, Zonguldakspor and Boluspor during his career.

After retiring as a player, Görgülü moved into coaching, working as a coach educator for the Turkish Football Federation and serving on the technical staff of Turkey's national futsal team.
