Şeyma Subaşı — Biography

Şeyma Subaşı was born on July 2, 1990, in Samsun. After studying in the Fashion Design Program at İstanbul Aydın University, she worked as a model from the age of 16 and entered the Miss Turkey pageant in 2008 without placing. That same year she met producer Acun Ilıcalı while taking part in the show Var Mısın Yok Musun, and their relationship soon became a fixture of Turkish tabloid coverage; the couple have a daughter, Melisa.

Over time Subaşı became better known for her social media presence than for modeling. In late 2025 she was detained as part of a drug investigation and was subsequently released under judicial control with a travel ban. In early 2026 she said she had changed her lifestyle and turned more toward faith, and she continues to appear frequently in public together with her daughter Melisa.
