Şeyma Subaşı — Biography

Şeyma Subaşı was born July 2, 1990, in Samsun and studied in the Fashion Design Program at İstanbul Aydın University. Modeling in designers' shows from age 16, she entered the Miss Turkey pageant in 2008 without placing; that year, on the show Var Mısın Yok Musun, she met producer Acun Ilıcalı, and later worked as a costume designer on the competition Yok Böyle Dans.

She launched her own fashion label in 2014, debuting at İstanbul Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, released the app IS IT OK in 2017 (built by Acun İnternet), opened the café Healthyish in Bebek with Acun Ilıcalı in 2018, and founded Babe Actiwear in 2020. She published the autobiography Sadece Şeyma via Dex Kitap in 2019.

Her daughter with Acun Ilıcalı, Melisa, was born in 2013; the couple married in Marseille in September 2017 and divorced by mutual agreement in November 2018. She later dated Italian DJ Guido Senia, then Egyptian investor Mohammed Alsaloussi, briefly marrying him between May and September 2023.

She became known over time more for social media than for modeling. In late 2025 she was detained in a drug investigation and released under judicial control with a travel ban; in early 2026 she said she had changed her lifestyle and turned toward faith, and still appears in public with Melisa.
