Sibel Alaş — Biography

Sibel Alaş (born 13 February 1975, Istanbul) is a Turkish pop singer, songwriter and translator. She studied at Istanbul University's Faculty of Letters.

Alaş made her name in the Turkish pop scene of the 1990s and became one of the era's defining voices, above all with the song "Adam"; tracks such as "Fem" are also among her remembered works. Alongside her music career she turned to translation and has brought works into Turkish, among them the "Game of Thrones" series.

In 2023 she made headlines by performing "Adam" again 28 years after its original release, and she occasionally returns to the music scene with new singles.
