Soner Şentürk — Biography
Soner Şentürk is a point guard best known for his years with Pınar Karşıyaka and is now described as a former player. Standing 1.92 m, he spent much of his career at the İzmir club, having started out in the academy of Darüşşafaka in Istanbul.
He began playing basketball in Darüşşafaka's youth categories and wore the club's colours between 2002 and 2009. In 2009-2010 he transferred to Türk Telekom and spent the next two seasons at Bornova Belediye and Erdemirspor. In 2012-2013 he signed with Pınar Karşıyaka and ran the offence for the team. In June 2015 he agreed to another year with the club, and in July 2016 he stayed again. In the 2014-15 TBL regular season he averaged 1.48 points, 1.15 assists and 1.33 rebounds per game.
In July 2017 he and Pınar Karşıyaka parted ways. Born in Bakırköy, Şentürk played for clubs in several different cities.
