Tevfik Lav — Biography
Mehmet Tevfik Lav was born on 11 July 1959 in Mersin. After a playing career he moved into football management; he studied at Manisa Celal Bayar University and built a lasting connection with Manisa's football scene, commemorated today by the Tevfik Lav Sports Facility built in his name in the city.
Lav was serving as head coach of Konyaspor when he died in Konya on 4 April 2004. He has remained a fixture of Konyaspor's collective memory since, with annual commemorations held at his graveside and by the club marking the anniversary of his death.
