The Future Left Behind is a 2005 Azerbaijani film directed by Rüfat Asadov, produced at the Azerbaijanfilm studio and loosely inspired by a story by Sergei Abramov. Blending drama, war, science fiction, and adventure, it follows a refugee boy from Karabakh who faints and is carried back to the war-torn front lines of the 1990s, where he finds himself among the soldiers. The score was composed by Hayyam Mirzazade, and the cast includes Azerin.
