Cem Sultan

Cem Sultan is a 1951 black-and-white Turkish film directed by Münir Hayri Egeli, blending historical drama with adventure. The screenplay was written by Melih Başar and the film was produced by Fuat Rutkay for the Halk Film company, with cinematography by Cezmi Ar and a score composed by Sadettin Kaynak.

The story follows Cem Sultan, an Ottoman prince forced to flee to Europe after losing the struggle for the throne against his brothers, dramatizing the fate of this historical figure for the screen.

Bülent Ufuk plays the title role of Cem Sultan; the cast also includes Suzan Yakar, Zeynep Sırmalı, Vedat Örfi Bengü, Ali Korkut, Berrin Aydan, Silia De Gandi, Ef Palm, Nana Aslanoğlu and Pola Morelli.
