Copilot

Copilot (German original title Die Welt wird eine andere sein) is a 2021 German-French-Lebanese drama directed by Anne Zohra Berrached. Özay Fecht is among the cast. Told from the perspective of a young woman who falls in love with a Lebanese fellow medical student and marries him against her family's wishes, the film traces their relationship over five years; she cannot quite grasp how her husband is slowly drifting into religious radicalization, and the story moves toward a grave conclusion. Inspired by real events, it premiered at the 2021 Berlin International Film Festival.
