Sucker (Enayi) (translated)

Enayi is a 1974 Turkish drama film written and directed by Feyzi Tuna. A remake of the Indian film Anari, it tells the love story between a poor painter and a wealthy young woman. Metin cannot hold any job for long and finally begins painting and selling his works to pay off the rent he owes his landlord.

One day he meets Filiz, who comes from a rich family; aware of Metin's prejudice against the wealthy, she introduces herself as a poor servant, and the two gradually grow close. Kadir İnanır and Meral Zeren share the lead roles, supported by Nilgün Atılgan, Kamran Usluer, Şükriye Atav and Hüseyin Kutman. Produced by Kadri Yurdatap, the 88-minute film premiered on September 1, 1974.
