Fear in the City
Cappotto di legno, known internationally as Fear in the City, is an Italian crime picture from 1981. Gianni Manera both directed the production and penned its screenplay, and he also appears in front of the camera. The roughly ninety-minute film is headlined by Michel Constantin and Fred Williamson, while the ensemble is rounded out by Nello Pazzafini, Tommaso Palladino, Enrico Maisto, Haydée Politoff, Bruno Di Luia, Salvatore Billa and Giuseppe Rinaldi. Shot in Italian, it blends gangster and detective elements. In German-speaking territories the film circulated as Gefährliche Zeugen, but it only arrived there belatedly, premiering on video on 20 April 1988, several years after its original release.
