Hitler in Hollywood

Hitler in Hollywood (original title HH, Hitler à Hollywood) is a 2011 Belgian-French production directed by Frédéric Sojcher. Styled as a mockumentary, the film follows a journalist investigating the claim that Hollywood's golden age was secretly shaped by figures loyal to Hitler's Germany. As her inquiry unfolds, supposed evidence emerges linking the American film industry to German-born insiders and Nazi sympathizers, deliberately blurring the line between authentic history and fabrication. The picture mimics the conventions of a documentary, complete with staged interviews in which well-known personalities from the world of cinema appear as themselves. The cast includes Michael Lonsdale and Nathalie Baye. Running about 85 minutes, the film plays as a satirical riff on film history, teasing the viewer to question how easily conspiracy narratives can be constructed and believed. It was released in 2011.
