Hotel Silence

Hotel Silence is a 2024 Canadian–Swiss psychological drama written and directed by Léa Pool. The film adapts the 2016 novel Ör by Icelandic author Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir, taking its title from the book's English translation, and is shot in French.

Sébastien Ricard stars as a Canadian man overwhelmed by despair who travels to a war-devastated country. Backed by Lyla Films and Louise Productions, the film opened in Quebec cinemas in March 2024 and was nominated for the Prix de Soleure at the 60th Solothurn Film Festival in 2025. Critics particularly praised its emotional impact and its music.
