King Conqueror

King Conqueror is a 2009 Spanish historical biographical film about the life of King James I of Aragon, who earned the epithet "the Conqueror" through his conquest of the Balearic Islands and Valencia. Directed by José Antonio Escrivá, the film stars Tim Roth, Thomas Kretschmann, Kata Dobó and Juan Diego Botto, with supporting turns from actors including Asier Etxeandía, José Sancho and Gabino Diego. Shooting began in late 2008, and the film premiered on 30 November 2009 in the United Arab Emirates; it was never released theatrically in other countries.
