Lady Cops

Lady Cops (original title: Les Keufs) is a 1987 French film directed by Josiane Balasko, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Christian Biegalski and Jean-Bernard Pouy. Mixing comedy with crime material, the story centres on women police officers, with Balasko herself appearing on screen in addition to directing. The ensemble features Jean-Pierre Léaud and Max Vialle alongside performers such as Isaach de Bankolé, Florent Pagny, Farida Khelfa and Alex Descas. Running roughly 93 minutes, it counts among the French comedies of its era in which Balasko worked both behind and in front of the camera.
